If they have infiltrated like that, there's not really much that can be done besides being careful of what conversations you hold on the app. Even if there wasn't an agent dispatched at an earlier date, it's not unreasonable to think Zodiac could be convinced to hand over our chat logs.
That said, that level of infiltration would more likely be for their own safety rather than anything truly nefarious.
