Star-crossed lovers whose paths were destined to meet and fall in love... There's the slow build as they start a friendship, and then the tension as neither one of them are sure about their emotions-- or maybe they're afraid it's one-sided?! Then who will confess first?! Will it come out in an explosive situation, or will they gently convey their feelings in some heartfelt moment...?! It's all just... just so...

[ he's abruptly SOBBING into his blanket, shoving it over his face. his voice is muffled, but... since it's ABEL and he's LOUD Jun can still understand him if he tries ]

SO UNFAIR!! Why can't I live in one of those fairy tale worlds where my life was just a high-school romance saga and I ran into the love of my life while eating a cute piece of toast in a schoolgirl uniform?!?! I-- I was born in the wrong era!! The wrong TIME, the wrong GENRE!!

[He will reach over and...awkwardly pat Abel on the head]

Jun looks directly at Abel. And then, quite bluntly:]

[ yep. he is back to sobbing into his blanket. wow, he can't even count on you to live out his high school romance fantasies. life truly is too cruel to keep on living. ]

[Jun gives another couple pats on Abel's head. There there. there there.

Then he leaves Abel to cry as he leans over to check to see what's in that other bag Abel had here!]

[ yes Jun is growing increasingly wise on the best ways to handle the wild Abel in his newfound habitat. good job, Jun, just leave him to it and he'll get bored eventually...

there are two sticks (they look like they might have been intended to hold up vegetables planted in the garden) and in the bag is marshmallows!! because what else would you bring to the fire pit, naturally...!! there is also some chocolate and graham crackers. s'mores!! ]

[That's right. Reacting only enables him further, so best to ignore it.

But oh, that's an interesting assortment of goodies. Jun's never actually gone camping before, so all this is new to him! So he gets curious enough to ask]

Hey, Father? What's this stuff for?

[ he lifts his head grudgingly, still sniffling and red-eyed. wow no one cares about his existential crisis...!! but since he forgot about the bag, he's reluctantly reaching out to snatch it up ]

Oh, are you sure you want to know?

[ he huffs, pouting, but despite saying this he's dumping everything out in front of him. ] Well, this is for s'mores, of course. Unless you're going to tell me you couldn't care less about s'mores, next?

[Instead he just blinks. He has a pretty simple answer for that one]

Actually I'm wondering what a s'more is?

[We just went over like 10 minutes ago that I had no childhood Father]

[ he stares at him a second... ]

[ ok melodrama is quickly forgotten and behind them, he's eagerly pulling the bag of marshmallows open ]

Oh, well~! This is definitely a show instead of tell kind of situation we need to address, here.

[ he gestures for Jun to pick up the sticks!! look this is going to be fun... ]

[He will reach over and pick up that stick! What do?]

[ and just like that we are back on track with sunny smiles; Abel is picking up the other stick and he spears a marshmallow on each. ]

O~kay! So you roast the marshmallow over the fire til it gets nice and gooey... and then you smush it in between these graham crackers with some chocolate like a sandwich~! A sandwich that can give you diabetes! It’s delicious. You’re going to love it, I promise— just try!

[Jun's eyes widen as he listens to that explanation, because oh my- that sounds so good?? He definitely wants to try one.]

Haha, that does sound good!

[Yep yep he's all on board. When the marshmallow is on his stick, he's immediately sticking it near the fire]

Yes~! Now, you'll want the outside to get good and golden brown. Maybe a little charred, you'll have to see how you like it. We can make more than one, so it's time to experiment!

In fact, he seems to be focusing very intently with a fierce expression on his face, trying to copy what Abel is doing while not daring to take his eyes off the marshmallow. Turn turn turn...!]

[ he plucks his own from the flame, digging around for the chocolate to break it off in half -- one square for him, and one for Jun, and then graham crackers next; this is going to be yummy. ]

[ he's digging in his pocket HE IS SERIOUS.... ]

[He pulls his marshmallow out of the fire, trying to assemble it like a sandwich. It's a little clumsy, and his hands definitely get marshmallowy goo on them, as well as the cracker breaking. It's a sloppy sloppy sandwich.

But he looks oh so delighted.

He can at least understand the need to photos, still he's impatient and wants to eat]

C'mon, hurry up! I want to eat this!
