Kaisou Past CR
Jun's adoptive father. Abel was a former victim of Krusnik who lost his twin brother in their experiments before he managed to escape (though not before becoming possessed). Years later, he returned to enact his revenge on Krusnik and killed a great deal of them. During the raid, he found Jun who was in a bad state from the experiments. Instead of completing the massacre, Abel decided to save the child and run away with him. They eventually made their way to Kaisou, where they could lay low from what remained of Krusnik.
It was a rocky and slow start between Jun only knowing life under Krusnik, and Abel having no experience with raising kids or leading a normal life. Eventually though, they slowly figured things out little by little, and eventually they became a real family. Abel did everything he could to give Jun a normal childhood, and Jun did what he could to help his dad out with any shortcomings he had (cooking, impulse control, remaining calm). It's thanks to Abel that Jun grew up to be a young man who can smile and laugh with ease.
Jun loves his father wholeheartedly. However, during his time on the app, Jun's come to realize that how he wants to live his life differs from his father. Abel wants to live a normal and peaceful life, far away from the supernatural that Krusnik was so enamored with. Jun on the other hand, has an unshakeable curiosity that makes him want to learn and explore that side of the world. The "normal life" that his father envisioned for him simply wasn't one that'd bring him happiness, no matter how much he had tried to convince himself otherwise.
So a few months after turning 19, Jun moved out of his father's home and to his own place. It's not far from his father's home, and he still visits regularly. But while he wants to continue involving himself in the supernatural, he'll do just about anything to let his beloved father live that peaceful life he more than deserves.
Jun's priest. Jun began attending church a few months after he and Abel arrived in Kaisou, after Abel decided the church would be a good way to help Jun adjust to his new life in the city. The plan worked, and over time Jun took to his church community and grew to know the Kaisou parish rather well. Among the parish was Father Hansa, a rather eccentric priest whose faith is as strong as his tendency to flaunt the rules. Abel and Father Hansa became friends, and for Jun he became an influential figure in his life. It's thanks to Father Hansa's influence that Jun's own religious beliefs tend to fall towards the "spirit of the scripture" rather than to the letter.
Now that he's older, Jun still deeply respects and cares for Father Hansa. He's as much his priest as something of a parental or uncle figure in his life. While Jun might not always agree with the father, he'll still listen to what he has to say and is grateful for his counsel. Though overall he feels it's probably for the best that Father Hansa isn't on the app anymore, it was only a matter of time before the priest would've tried to start a fistfight with Cthulhu.
Jun's old neighbor. A talented engineer from China, she was living in Kaisou after surviving a near deadly encounter. She took to Jun and his father quickly, always greeting them warmly. Guizhong was the one to teach Jun about modern technology, helping the boy who'd never touch a computer before learn how to use all the tech he'd need to get by. She was also the one that set up the numerous flower and plant beds around Arcadia apartment, teaching Jun all about gardening which would eventually lead him on his future trajectory as a botanist.
Guizhong eventually moved back to China to be with her family. Jun makes sure to take care of her flowerbeds that she left behind, especially her beloved Glaze Lilies. He has very fond memories of Guizhong and cares for her a lot, writing to her when he has something he feels there's worth sharing. Honestly, she's probably the only person he bothers using emails for.
There is very little about Jun's past life he likes remembering. Years of abuse and suffering isn't something one would look back fondly on, so he only tries to pull from his memories when he feels they could be helpful in this lifetime.
His memories of Ryouta are one of the exceptions to this rule. A normal boy who stumbled into Jun's life after mistaking him for a girl and asking him out the first day of high school. A boy who was loud, emotional, and never heard of a brain-to-mouth filter - but also was so earnest, understanding and accepting. A bright spot in the sea of darkness of Jun's past life.
In this lifetime, he encountered Ryouta by chance while Jun was hanging out on the 7-Eleven roof. They immediately hit it off, and eventually began a romantic relationship... though it took a couple weeks for Ryouta to realize they were in a relationship. They loved one another, and Jun even started imagining having a future with him. But... it wasn't meant to last. Just like in their past life, Ryouta disappeared off the app and forgot all memories pertaining to the supernatural. Not feeling right about dating someone when he'd have to hide most of his life from him, Jun decided to break up with him. But he's still holding a torch for him.
